Occasionally, while driving in the Southfield area, our readers may witness car accidents. Whether a driver stops to assist or decides to drive on is a decision every driver makes. Recently, a good Samaritan was killed after stopping to help the victim of a car accident on Interstate 94. The Troy woman was described as giving and generous. The pedestrian accident took place on her 43rd birthday.
Chesterfield police believe the woman got out of her car to help a man whose pickup had crashed into a construction zone sign at around 2 a.m. Both she and the other driver were killed as a result of a chain-reaction crash that took place soon after. Two additional cars and a semitrailer crashed, creating a multi-vehicle pileup.
