Deputies from Oakland County and the Rochester Hills Fire Department responded to an emergency call in the Rochester Estate mobile home park in late November. When they arrived at the scene around 5 a.m., they found that a mobile home was on fire. They discovered that the fire was the result of a car accident which occurred when a car crashed into the living room of the mobile home. The home then caught on fire and spread to an adjacent mobile home.
Following the car accident, the driver of the vehicle fled the scene of the accident. A female passenger in the car was left injured inside the burning vehicle. When EMS workers arrived at the scene, the woman was transported to a local hospital where she was listed in critical condition with serious, but not life-threatening injuries.
