Oakland County drivers are likely aware that they can be involved in auto accidents even when the vehicle they are driving is at a full stop. Earlier this month, an 86-year-old Michigan woman was driving southbound on Rochester Road when she struck a Chevrolet Suburban in front of her at an intersection. As a result of the initial impact, the Suburban was pushed into two other vehicles.

Several of those involved in the chain-reaction collision were taken to a local Michigan hospital. The 86-year-old woman was taken by ambulance to Pontiac Osteopathic Hospital where she was said to be in stable condition. The driver and passenger of the Chevrolet Suburban involved in the car accident were treated at another hospital. While the accident caused damage to the other cars, no other injuries were initially reported.
